Get ready to lace up your running shoes and mark your calendars for a day filled with energy, excitement, and community spirit at the “Run Like The Devil” event. This anticipated event will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the beautiful Kiawah River. Everyone is welcome to join in the festivities. Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or simply looking to enjoy a day out with friends and family, there’s something for everyone. Participants can choose between the competitive 5K Trail Run, a friendly race that showcases the picturesque trails of Kiawah River, or the Fun Run, a shorter dash perfect for the younger crowd who want to experience the joy of racing amidst scenic surroundings.
For those who prefer to cheer from the sidelines but still wish to show their support, purchasing a Race Day T-shirt is a great way to contribute to Charleston Collegiate School (CCS) while enjoying the fall festival offerings. Non-runners are also encouraged to attend the festival at no cost – a testament to the event’s inclusive atmosphere. Registration is now live, and those interested in running, volunteering, sponsoring, or setting up as a vendor can find more information on the event website. From signing up for the race to exploring how you can contribute as a volunteer or sponsor, the “Run Like The Devil” event promises to be a memorable day for the entire community.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our generous sponsors who are making this event possible. Kiawah River stands out as the title sponsor, demonstrating significant community support and engagement. Our gratitude also reaches the Grand Oak sponsor, Pam Harrington Exclusives, alongside the Harvest sponsors, including Damien Busillo Architect, Akers Ellis, Allora Solutions Group, Dottie’s Pharmacy, The Calore Lacke Group at Akers Ellis Real Estate, and JI Small Engine Repair. Additionally, our Pumpkin sponsors – Coastal Wealth Group, Clark Island Marina, and Palm Trees Ltd. – play a crucial role in enriching our community event.
Each sponsor’s contribution fosters a sense of community and makes a direct impact on the success of the “Run Like The Devil” 5K and Fun Run. Volunteers are the heartbeat of our event, and there are plentiful opportunities for community members to get involved. Whether you’re handing out water, cheering on runners, or helping with event setup and logistics, your time and efforts are greatly valued. Please reach out to Lori Atkinson at latkinson@charlestoncollegiate.org to join our wonderful team of volunteers. Together, we can make this event a truly devilish delight for runners, families, and spectators alike.
